Caring about the data and privacy of customers shouldn’t be new. It should be everyone’s highest priority. Not just because of strict(er) laws in Europe, the USA or Australia but mainly because it is a big fail if you lose something your customer has trusted you with.
Your customer’s data is and will always be the data of your customer. You as a business have been given that data to process orders or to fulfil a service. it is not yours to keep and to use as you please.
